The ACCESS Baseline Study was developed as part of the "Access to Justice for Children Accused and Suspect in Criminal Proceedings" project. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how children’s procedural rights under Directive (EU) 2016/800 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 May 2016 on procedural safeguards for children who are suspects or accused persons in criminal proceedings and other international legal standards are implemented in law and practice across six participating countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Poland, and Slovakia.
